This Cowboy Ain't All Hat And No Cattle


With the sun shining brightly, I moseyed over to my black Dodge  Durango pickup ( All Texans have pick-up trucks.) and headed off to begin my weekend. Oh I still had a few errands to do, but nothing that would get in the way of my enjoying the weekend. My stops included a visit to Ma and Pa, and I needed make a payment on my boots and my pickup, and then I had my weekly hair stylist appointment.  It was too nice a day to have to do anything serious and I was ready for some serious enjoying. As the day moved along, I finished all of the errands and was getting my hair cut. As the young lady trimmed my salt n pepper hair she mentioned that my beard and mustache needed some trimming also. As any good cowboy would have done, I listened to what she said and let her get on with doing her thang. She suggested that I change the color of my beard and mustache so that it would match what nature had left me on top of my head. Feeling good, I let her go ahead. After all, I wanted to look my best for the square dance tonight and Miss Sue Ann, my date for the evening.

After she was all done with everything she told me how handsome I looked with the new color and all, my Stetson and my Tony Luchese boots.

The moral of this story is that you should always listen to the experts, because all of the real cowboys die(hair-dye) with their boots on!!

Author's Note:  I really do speak proper english, but I wanted this to be in cowboy language, y'all savvy?  Now, I'll' just pull my Python Skinned Cowboy boots back on and mosey down to the saloon and wet down some of this trail dust.
